In 1998 MILLER Rechtsanwälte emerged from Dr Miller & Partner, which in return had its origin in Dr Andreas Miller, Law Firm that had been existing since 1976. From the very beginning, MILLER Rechtsanwälte has specialised in industrial and intellectual property law, i.e. trademark and patent law, utility models and design law, trade secrets and unfair competition law.
In 2012, MILLER Rechtsanwälte opened a second office in Grabs, St. Gallen, Switzerland, as an addition to the main office in Freiburg im Breisgau. In January 2016, Ulyana Schwarz and Dr Alexander Miller, LL.M took over the management of the IP boutique MILLER Rechtsanwälte as partners.
At the moment, two attorneys, a physicist acting as an independent scientific and technical counsel and an assistant professional in charge of the administration work at our IP Boutique. For questions in all chemical regulatory areas we cooperate with the Forschungs- und Beratungsinstitut Gefahrstoffe (FoBiG GmbH). In addition, our team at MILLER Rechtsanwälte collaborates with an extensive global network of Patent & Trademark attorneys and consultants, biologists, chemists, engineers, physicists, translators and IT-experts.
This wide-ranging network enables us efficiently to obtain and protect the trademark and IP rights for our clients, not only in Germany and the EU, but also in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and other countries across the world. At the same time, we advise and represent our German clients in obtaining and asserting legal protection of their IP rights on an international scale.
